Living transmission

Transmission was not about telling our journey.
It was about making it useful.

During the 2024-2025 school year, our route was followed by young people supported in educational, hospital or specialized settings through 28 notebooks created with L’Enfant@l’Hôpital, via Kolibri. While we were moving forward, they were following from a hospital room, a classroom or a specialized facility. This page documents what that transmission actually produced.

Before the departure

A first evening to turn our departure into a collective momentum.

On 6 September 2024, before our long departure, we organized a festive and charitable evening in Hatten.

The goal was not only to gather friends and family around a journey. This evening already marked the deeper intention of Levis Family Adventure: to tie our adventure to a useful, collective and solidarity-driven action.

The proceeds of the evening were donated to the association Collectif Ensemble, committed to the inclusion of young people in disability situations through concrete projects.

The evening brought together families, local elected officials, regional partners, friends and people committed to inclusion.

Concerts, dance, magic, hypnosis, entertainment, tombola, shared meal: this first mobilization gave a public form to what LFA would then carry on the road.

Before the notebooks, before Costa Rica, before the documented transmission, there was already a simple idea: to make our departure a project larger than ourselves.

The framework

A journey followed across a full school year.

From September 2024 to June 2025, our crossing was followed by French classrooms and hospital units, as part of a partnership with L’Enfant@l’Hôpital, through the educational programme Kolibri.

The principle: turn every stage of the road into educational material usable in classrooms and hospital settings. Not a travel diary. Not a blog. Teaching materials sent on a regular pace to young people in disability situations, supported by professionals at the Children's Hospital and in partner facilities.

The goal: create an educational link at a distance, over time, without rupture, for children whose daily life is already fragmented.

The notebooks

A pace held. A link built.

Each notebook turned a real stage of the road into educational content: photos, videos, anecdotes, observations, questions, activities, cultural openness.

Not a single end-of-year account. A regular cadence, aligned with the school rhythm, relayed by L’Enfant@l’Hôpital to classrooms and hospital units.

For the young people followed, these notebooks created an educational continuity that held in spite of distance and specific care contexts.

What this proves

What this action proves.

  1. 01

We know how to hold a commitment over time.

Twenty-eight notebooks across a full school year. Not a one-off gesture. A sustained pace, step after step.

  2. 02

We know how to turn real experience into educational material.

Every stage of the road became teaching content: observations, photos, videos, anecdotes, questions, activities.

  3. 03

We know how to work with serious institutions.

L’Enfant@l’Hôpital and Kolibri are demanding partners. The pace, the tone, the materials: everything was held at that level.

  4. 04

We know how to build a real link with specific audiences.

The notebooks were designed for young people in disability situations, supported by professionals. Not as a separate audience. As full readers.

  5. 05

We know how to document without overstating.

Notebooks, presentations, in-person meetings: everything shown here is verifiable. No inflated narrative, no decorative figures.

Meetings in Dijon

Dijon

In Dijon, the link became real.

We had already met the young people before the departure. In June, this new meeting in Dijon closed the project: a chance to revisit the notebooks, exchange with the groups followed across the year and give a concrete form to the link built at a distance.

Five groups in total:

  • 3 groups at the École de Plein Air in Dijon
  • 2 groups at the Children's Hospital, Dijon University Hospital

That moment turned a remote transmission into an embodied one.

Another action

Cap Vers l’Inclusion.
A concrete action with Collectif Ensemble.

Cap Vers l’Inclusion is not the continuation of the Kolibri notebooks.

It is a different action, carried out with Collectif Ensemble in Alsace, focused on the professional inclusion of young people in disability situations.

In this framework, we produced and directed a documentary: preparation, shoots, interviews, editing and final restitution. The young people involved also took an active role in the project, notably playing the part of journalists during the interviews.

In June 2025, this work was presented to the European Collectivity of Alsace.

Not the same partner, not the same territory, not the same audience. But the same rigor: give a real place to the people concerned, within a serious, concrete and transmissible setting.
