We drop everything! Birth of Levis Family Adventure

As a family, hand in hand
I was born in Wissembourg, in northern Alsace.
From an early age, I had the chance to travel a lot with my parents, which always fueled my desire to continue in this vein.
After obtaining my Bac Professionnel, I worked briefly in the catering industry, until I discovered my true vocation in working with children. Having first obtained my BAFA, I worked as an animator and then seized the opportunity to join the French Ministry of Education. Although you'd think, the pay in this field is pretty low, so I had to look for a second job. It was then that I decided to set up my first company, based on one of my favorite hobbies, photography and video. During my seven years with the French Ministry of Education, I gained considerable experience working with children, and more specifically with disabled children in ULIS (Unité Localisé d'Inclusion Scolaire) classes. We carried out several innovative and promising projects, created an association and won several awards and trophies. Indeed, this was an important part of my personal life. Following my meeting with Gwendoline and our decision to create a family and build our future together, it was crucial to take a break and concentrate on our relationship.
At the end of 2020, in the midst of the COVID project, I decided to give up my job with the French Ministry of Education in order to devote myself and Gwendoline fully to the construction of our residence, a project that took two years to complete, including the exterior.
The time came to have children, and being a father brought about major changes in me, affecting my ideas and my approach to situations. With ten years' experience in entrepreneurship, three successful construction projects, a beautiful wife, two wonderful children, high spirits and unfailing resilience, I feel as though I've lived twice as long as I really have, enriched by numerous trips and projects.
This is how, at the end of the summer of 2023, I came to the conclusion that it was necessary to change my course and undertake a daring project, which would require unfailing courage and a willingness to extricate myself from my comfort zone, with the aim of transcending the limits I had set myself and thus pursuing my personal growth, while offering my family a wonderful gift, with a trip to the end of the world.

Dancesport has been a part of my life ever since I was a child. It was an activity that marked my life for some twenty years, regularly punctuating my daily routine and providing comfort, refuge, strength and inspiration in moments of joy and happiness.
I had the opportunity to be part of a dance team for several years, and we were twice invited to the WORLD OF DANCE in Paris, a major international dance event. Thanks to this sport, I've managed not only to increase my self-confidence, but also to express who I am in a more sincere way. It goes without saying that dance will remain an integral part of my life forever.
After leaving high school without obtaining my baccalaureate, I reoriented myself towards obtaining my BAFA. For around ten years, I assisted and guided children, living magical moments with them, an experience that brought me invaluable personal development. Thanks to this experience, I've been able to deeply understand their needs and emotions, and help them develop and blossom.
In addition to my job as an entertainer, I also trained in the field of sport under the CQP ALS option AGEE (certificat de qualification professionnelle Animateur Loisirs sportive option Activités gymniques d'entretien et d'expression). Thanks to this training, not only have I gone beyond my comfort zone, but I've also developed an open mind, which has given me greater self-confidence.
My background as a dancer and entertainer has enabled me to develop many skills, such as patience, creativity, teamwork and communication. I've also learned to overcome my limits and fears. Dance has also enabled me to grow as a person and become the stronger, more confident woman I am today.
Then came my sentimental journey, during which I met Julien, who had an affection for dance, just like me, and who was also interested in photography and video. He wonderfully accompanied us to Paris to film our appearance at WORLD OF DANCE, to make the video you'll find right here.
We share a vision of life that has led us to embark on joint projects for the future. I discovered my love of exploration and travel in his company, as we took many trips in our first weeks together.
Marriage followed, and then we became parents to Loïs and Livio.
Even before they were born, I made a commitment to be there for them at all times and to do my best to contribute to their well-being.
We planned this complete upheaval of our lives and this expedition primarily for the sake of the children. It's undeniable that experiencing the world first-hand will be infinitely more enriching and stimulating than learning from reading alone.

How did this family project come about?
It's obvious that we've adopted the most conventional approach in our contemporary society. Go to school, pass our exams, work, take out a loan for our cars, work, take out a loan for our house, work, start a family, work, pay off our debts and bills for most of our lives...
Then it's time to ask ourselves what kind of future we want to offer our children, with a barrage of questions.
Having a thorough knowledge of our school's underpinnings, it was clear to us from the outset that we would have to assist Lois at home in addition to her schooling, making it very complex for us to enroll her from the age of 3 (which has now become compulsory). To deprive such a young child of his parents, of his sleep and of his development potential (for surely, a child cannot develop properly sitting in a chair for long hours on end), is all the more striking given that this legislation was drawn up by people with no experience of parenting and pedagogy.
We know how our system works, and we know that trying to change it head-on would be a colossal expenditure of time and energy.
That's why we've been looking for a solution to the problem represented by our current system, particularly as regards the child's place in our society.
Because of the severe restrictions on our children's schooling in France, following the "separatism" law of 2021, we were forced to make the decision to leave France. Once again, as project leaders, we were driven by the desire to offer something to our public, hence our decision to found "Levis Family Adventure".
Many of the people around us were apprehensive, because we were straying off the beaten track. Nevertheless, we're convinced of our ability to bring such a project to fruition, thanks to our determination and energy. With your support, we'll be able to demonstrate and convince as many people as possible that there are viable alternatives to today's way of life, while preserving our most essential values.
So, if you have even one thing in common with us, we invite you to join us in this humane and caring adventure.
